Elemental Water Makers

Elemental Water Makers provides complete reverse osmosis systems driven by solar, wind and/or wave energy to enable affordable fresh water on-site. Their solutions solve fresh water scarcity, while only using the sea, sun, earth & wind.
Their office is based at Yes! Delft, a hub from the technical university where more sustainable companies can be found.

StoneCycling

StoneCycling makes construction materials from waste. They analyze different kinds of waste like construction or industrial waste, then look at the potential of the materials, then make new recipes from it and eventually make bricks from it in a comparable way as they make traditional bricks. The bricks comply to the same requirements as traditional ones.

I interviewed Ward Massa who is one of the co-founders of StoneCycling. Ward explained how the company was founded, what the company is about and what his vision on sustainability is.

Planq

Planq is a design studio founded by Anton en Dennis Teeuw. Planq’s designs are inspired by nature and environmentally consciously. They do that by using locally available resources.

I interviewed Anton en Dennis at The Set Company, where they have their workplace. In this interview they tell about how Planq was founded, what they are making and share their vision on sustainability.

Seepje

Seepje is 100% natural and fair trade detergent from Nepal. They use the Sapindus mukorossi-fruit super peel which gives a natural form of soap in contact with water.

Seepje’s missions is to make the world cleaner and more beautiful! Seepje is a social enterprise. When you wash your clothes with Seepje they take of the conservation of nature in Nepal. They also there improve the working and living conditions. The company works together with Siza, a organization which provides work to people with mental and/or physical disabilities. The people who work there, called the “waskanjers” or “washing heroes” have an important role in the production of Seepje.

I interviewed Jasper, one of the co-founders about how the idea for Seepje was born, what they are doing and asked him about his vision on sustainability.
